AppJet online collaboration system has now become the property of Google. Google's purchase was done to improve the performance of Google's Wave.

"We announce today that the official has AppJet of Google. Later, the team from EtherPad will join to work with a team of Google's Wave," said the AppJet, as reported by AFP on Monday (7/12/2009).

AppJet itself is a company that launched since December 2007 with three founders who formerly worked at Google. AppJet has an application called EtherPad.

EtherPad allows Internet users to simultaneously edit data, and online from several different computer networks. Changes or editing process that can be viewed in real-time on the monitor connected users.

AppJet's EtherPad is very compatible with Google through Google's vision Wave. With the Wave, Google wants to provide an innovative communication platform that not only rely on traditional email.
