The registrant of domain names in China will face stricter regulations. Government of China is now increasingly tightened control in the registration of domain names.
This new policy is part of China's intensive efforts in the fight against pornography sites.
As reported by Xinhua on Wednesday (16/12/2009), the domain name registrant is required to fill out a written application complete with a business license and identity.
Vice President China Internet Network Information Center Zhijiang Liu confirmed the truth of the news and said that the administration decided to protect the strict qualifications of applicants to halt domain theft by others using false information.
Along with the increasingly rampant mobile porn sites in China, announced the policy to be part of China's latest campaign to crack down on illegal domain hard.
