Tips to make Photoshop more quickly

Notebooks And Computers -Of course, the easiest way to solve all computer problems that occur is to have some money to buy a computer is much better. It's all easy to say in the mouth, especially when we do not have enough capital. For example, if we only have a PC / Mac at a minimum, and every time we use Photoshop, which takes a long cuku or slow your computer's performance.

Here are tips to make Photoshop more quickly simply by changing the settings.

Note: The screenshot below is Photoshop CS4, but even so all the old versions of this software have all these options. The difference lies in the placement only.

To call the Preferences menu, click Edit and then Preferences, or simply Ctrl + K:

Tip 1: Adjust the settings
Select Performance:

As you can see, there are 4 parts here: Memory Usage, Scratch Disks, History & Cache and GPU Settings. We see the first three.

Memory Usage
Photoshop uses a lot of RAM, and coupled with the OS that we use. The amount of RAM usage can be adjusted in Photoshop - you can set it as needed. It all depends on the amount of RAM that is owned, foxes became 55-65% (for which only has 2GB of RAM) and 70-75% (for those who have 4GB of RAM or more).

Note: Do not maximize the bar because it will make your system crash. Use as needed, allowing for your OS.

Scratch Disks
In addition to RAM, using Photoshop Scratch Disks or often called "virtual RAM". A scratch disk is a hard place to drivce which dialokasika as virtual RAM program is used when processing the data. If you want to have more than one hard drive, giving Photoshop to use a second hard drive, this will help your computer work faster.

Specify as many times as you want, do not have to think about the place - this is temporary and will disappear when you get out of Photoshop

History & Cache
We are not perfect, is not it? And we made many mistakes when working on a task. Imagine what would happen if there is no command "undo"? Unfortunately, in Photoshop you can even adjust the amount of History States or undo but more and more regulated - the more memory used. Because every act of mind in the virtual memory, which would require more places to store all these steps again if necessary.

Normally, the History States set to 20, where, will make the computer become very slow. That will slow down Photoshop, especially when you work on images with large enough capacity. Arrange a 10-15 and it will run more smoothly.

Cache levels are used to improve screen redraw speed rendering and histograms. Choose more cache levels for larger documents for fewer layers, or less cache levels for fewer documents for more layers. You can choose from 1 to 8.

Note: all these changes will happen when you call back Photoshop

Tip 2: Clear your Clipboard
Again and again - the problem of RAM. Clipboard Photoshop using lots of RAM and if you copy some large-capacity image and move it to a new document, it will still linger in the clipboard. Clear your RAM by deleting unnecessary data in the clipboard. To do it all, simply click edit and Purge:

Note: This command can not be withdrawn, so think carefully before you do.

Tip 3: Men-Defrag Your Hard Drive
Particularly for small capacity hard drives, fragmentation is a problem. Use Windows Defragmenter to optimize your hard disk at all times. Do it once a month if necessary. Just follow these commands, Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> Disk Defragmenter. Select the drive that needs to defrag and click the Defragment button.

Tip 4: Close the Software is not needed
This tip is very simple but sometimes we forget and are always grumbling why Photoshop running very slow. This is all because many application running at the back, spending power and RAM. Semuam Close unnecessary applications.
