AMD Athlon Triple-Core

One of the leading companies in the field of processors, AMD today launched the 8 type II, the latest Athlon processor, 2 of quad-core, triple-core 4, and 2 dual-core desktop processor. Latest processor triple-core Athlon II can be placed in the slot between the chip's dual-core and quad-core. Chip triple-core Athlon II was built with a 45nm manufacturing process and support 64 bit. The eight processor is planned to be intended for the desktop, PC all-in-one and small desktop.

Meanwhile, two types of dual-core processor AMD Athlon X2 II X2 240e and 235e will walk with clock speed 2.7GHz and 2.8GHz. Both chips have 45W and at the same power can be matched by Intel Core 2 Duo E7000 series or E8000 series. While hardware 4 triple-core X3 the Athlon II 400e (2.2GHz), X3 405e (2.3GHz), X3 425e (2.7GHz) and microprocessor X3 435e (2.9GHz) can be placed between the processor X2 dual-core and quad-core Athlon X4. Two II X3 Athlon chip 400e and 405e has a design X3 power 4W, while the other two namely X3 425e and 435e with the X3 power 95W.

Interesting part here is two-chip triple-core CPU (400e and 405e) has a lower cost than triple-core processor options (425e and 435e). Eighth Athlon processor II will be packaged with Socket AM3 and is compatible with Socket AM2 + motherboards.
